Bicomponent Product

Coextrusion is the technique by which two weatherstrips made of two different materials are manufactured, obtaining products that combine densities and colours.

Applications

Among the multiple uses this technology provides, it allows the manufacturing of profiles with a soft part, to dampen blows or guarantee hermetic closure, and a rigid part to be attached, for example, to a metallic surface.

Another common application is in the two-colored silicone double tube, which is used in the pharmaceutical industry to provide and identify two different fluids, and in weatherstrips for supermarket shelves, where colour combinations are used to highlight institutional image.
